Fox’s Disposal operates a transfer station at 5990 Steel Road in Port Hardy.
Residential garbage and ferrous metals can be dropped off during our transfer station hours:
Tuesdays, Fridays & Saturdays from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Please note the transfer station is for residential customers only – no commercial customers please. Small fees apply to garbage drop off. Metal recycling drop off is free.
The Transfer Station does not accept:

Barrels, drums, pails, and other liquid containers

Dead animals
-
Drywall and drywall mud

Excrement
-
Hazardous waste, excluding asbestos waste delivered to the Landfill according to the Asbestos Policy

Liquids and sludge
-
Recyclables accepted in provincial Take Back programs

Materials that are on fire, smoldering, flammable or explosive

Any material deemed unacceptable by the Fox’s Disposal staff

Any material that would cause undue risk of injury or occupational disease to any person at the Transfer Station or Landfill
